Skincare and Makeup Preparation

Face Makeup

Lupita Nyong’o Golden Eye Makeup

For a big event and a dramatic and creative eye makeup look first start off by applying Lanc?me Prime It Boost It all over the eyelids to prime the eyes for longer wearing eyeshadow.

To create the beautiful golden eye makeup look Nick used Lanc?me Hypn?se 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Reflet D’Amethyste on the eyelids. Use the dark matte brown eyeshadow to contour the crease and create shape and definition to the eyes. To create the golden effect, apply the golden shade just to the center of the eyelids. To achieve intense color payoff, use a wet flat brush to apply.

For eyeliner Nick used Lanc?me Id?le Liner to define the upper lash line. To create the look Nick recommends using small short strokes to apply the eyeliner. “It’s easier and faster when you don’t try to do one perfect line from start to finish. I usually start by lining the whole upper lash lines then I decide on the wings later, this way it’s a lot easier to control symmetry as well.”

For the lashes finish off by applying 2 coats of Lanc?me Lash Id?le Mascara for voluminous, defined lashes. Lash Id?le helps to provide curve and lift to the lashes for a fluttery fanned out effect.

Whilst the eyes are a key standout of this look the lips play an important part too.
